TOI said yesterday that Valentine is only second to Diwali, obviously in terms of the business that it generates.
Call me a cynic or whtever, but I think the hype is just soo commercial. To somebody really in love - a smile, a touch, a voice across the line, is more than enough to make a valentine worth living through.
Yeah, I ask for too less, but definately not our media, politics and all those businesses. It is just everywhere - and the winners list includes all the phone companies, retail stores and malls, hotels and resorts, newspapers, radio channels, television and blah and blah and blah. Spare me that overdose of love somebody!!!
Anybody interested in the list of losers?? It is short - YOU and ME.
In India, nothing is saved from the clutches of politics, no idividual's opinion, nor freedom of speech, no sports, no festivals , no valentines!!!! Aaah, our activists have some (useless anti-social) work at least one day of the year. This one can easily win an award is futility....no stupidity...or both.
And yet, there is a dark face of life behind all that glitz. Again I take a pick from Economic Times.
READ HERE.....PLZZ DO.
Where is the love to save us then??
What are we celebrating? And are we really, for that matter? It is all so false a facade, and such a sad one at that, that it cant hide those reality, not even for a day.

well love dosent really exist in todays world . for what i realised you can get love only from your family and no one else can be that much effectionate and caring. adn just for the sake of having the feeling that i belong to someone nad someone belongs to me . i dont believe in people who call themselves lovers. it is just a self created illusion and well as u pointed out people just try to enlarge the illusion to make profits . isnt it just sick.
all the romantics poets of the past wud die by looking what is happening.
anyways if someone is happy by celebrating v day then gud for him or her . there is no harm in it for others.money is spent to give satisfaction and people derive pleasure by spending on this da then it is fine.
