Have you ever done a comparative study of things that catch your fancy for a while vs things that interest you all along, stronger and deeper and things that you have invested time onto . . . .
"Take a good look around, and you will be surprised at what all can catch your attention."
"I know, there is a lot to interest me here, but I will not lose sigh what I want the most for that one fleeting moment of sparkling light. I would not follow a whim just to test the waters, I de rather stick to what I want and save a lot of effort."
I had had this conversation in one certain context, but looking back at it I feel it can hold true for a lot of different scenarios . . . . some reusability of thought here!
It might be about focus, it might be about priorities, but above all its just about simple sensibilities.

i think thats how phrases like momentary lapse of reason come about.
Hi,Deez. ..coming here after quite some time. some nice phrases in this post...I guess the key word is 'focus'...focus on your goals, focus on what you're doing, focus on what interests you...:)That makes all the difference. AmitL
