Lot of people take lot of decisions for a lot of reasons. But I've come to believe that eventually the happiest are those who make a choice for themselves and live it.
That's what I know I am happiest doing.
My Mom (and I can safely bet everybody's Moms or parental figures) tries to tell me her perspective of things and how some of my actions drive her to the verge of freaking out. I listen, I accept and I respect her concern. But since I don't believe myself in the wrong, I can't be forced to feel guilty about it. That was the last thing I said to her before her flight took off last weekend.
I have to make my share of mistakes, if that's what one would choose to call them, I ll never look at it that way, to me a mistake is when I do it twice. I have chosen to learn and grow from each experience, and they come in all possible flavors.
So life goes on, and the surprise element diminishes every day. There is extreme joy an extreme pain and everything in between, but I've stopped fighting with my God and asking the age old question "Why me?".
So I am living, loving and coping with the world . . . .

Hi,Deez..u hit the nail on the head..the happiest people are indeed those who make a choice for themselves and live it.This way, whatever good happens,u're responsible, whatever bad happens,u're responsible. You thereby avoid the 'blame game' which takes place otherwise.:)
i believe it gives you a better, wider and balanced view of the world.
