Weekend that was

Of dates with almonds and wafers,
of hot coffee and ginger tea,
of salads and home cooked food,
of overcooked daal and trying my hand at cooking,
of lovestories and romantic movies,
of late nights and early mornings,
or heavy downpours and lovely drizzles,
of chilling breeze,
of studies and tests,
of calls and text messages,
of friends dropping in and friends taking out,
of yellow watermelon juice,
of long discussions, of short acknowledgements,
of thinking of a thousand things and of not writing anyone down,
of relief from work and of the apprehensions for the coming monday,
of sweet dreams and cozy quilts........


...that is the stuff weekends are made of.
