Had a longish chat with Ups yesterday. And we both as usual got down to remembering the old times. Nea and I skipped office on Women's Day last year....ha ha ha..... we were celebrating by NOT working. In those days we hardly worked anyway. Ups knew better, we had chola bhatura, played pool and watched "School of Rock".
When I told him that am working more than eight hours a day, he was shocked. But then rejoiced saying, it serves me right for we were the kinda ppl who worked 11-5 and needed phone calls to keep awake after lunch.
Pune is sweltering in heat, and I remember the AC breaking down all the time. Ups is regular to college these days to escape the power cuts. I pity his profs, having to bear the entire bunch of them in class.
Oh, and we had set a record in inventing nicknames. I have never before or since been able to think so many innovative nics. But then Ups has a personality to match. (If he reads this, he ll surely kill me.) Well, "Something' Gotta Give" is still his inspiration. All the best dude.
Getting on with our lives, one still pauses and looks back on good times.
Anks once told me - "some times are just memory making times".
It sure was for all of us.
Some days are easy to remember, and some impossible to forget.
