INTERPRETER OF MALADIES By – Jhumpa Lahiri
I didn’t complete it in a day. I ve been reading it slowly over a period of time.
There is something very human about this book, it felt like its been written by a human being about other human beings. Its so subtle so simple and on the oust seems so ordinary that these qualities make it so extraordinary. No wonder it deserved the Pulitzer Prize.
One more thing….. I somehow feel that is someday I write a book, it might be something like this. A collection of stories or essays…….about life, about the real life. And I don’t color things black or white…….coz that’s how life is, whats white to me may be black to you and vice versa. Shades of grey might be more appropriate to say………….but that’s also not completely safe.
Live and let live.
