"How was your weekend?"
More than ninety percent of the people who ask me this question on a Monday morning are not even interested in an answer. But on a Monday mornings their brains can get no further than this, as it has yet to shake off the lethargy of sunday or hangover of saturday or sometimes both.
Mostly I finish off with a curt "Good", and then add "How was yours?" as an afterthought. Courtesy demands - not that I am interested in listening to their answers either.
I really wonder how different can weekends be?
Even if one is partying every day, at the max there would be change in name of the place.
In my line of work, the most common answer to "What did you do over the weekend?" is "Sleep". Ha ha, we sound like 24x7 watchdogs, do we? Sometimes we r.
And the next commonest answer is "Was working", at which the questioneer is supposed to make a sad face and expresses all the sympathy for the sleep and rest deprived poor guy/gal in question.
Aaaaarggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.......
So.......life is damn predictable, every monday. U can add a tuesday, wednesday.... upto....sunday too it to.
It is not often that the earth shakes up; nor do it's inhabitants.

Alien Attack!
My comp had an alien attach a couple of days ago. And only when I had to hop comps as it was taking time to fix, and thankfully had enuff colleagues taking off during the holiday season, did I realize I am kinda attached to my usual place and all the data on my C drive.
Firstly my place is very strategically located, one cant really pry as to what I am doing on the net! So much so to keep me going. Imagine my shock when I had to sit right behind my boss. Felt like in a CIA cell all the time! huh!!
And the next ....I am deeply mourning the loss of a my ebooks (will re-dwnload them) , but worse still is the loss of my entire mp3 Buddha Bar collection (that ll be tougher to find again). It was too huge a folder to allow a backup, so had to let go of it. *SIGH*
Well, the good news is am back on my m/c up and running.

oye ki haal hai kudiye? Thursday ke din Monday ko yaad kiya jaa rahaa hai! :-? Lagta hai someone is missing Mondays badly. :D Oh and btw how-was-the-weekend wala funda... LOL... but guess that acts as a good ice breaker.. almost every time, doesn't it?
