Bits & Pieces Vol.6

We ve had many a road trips as a family. Mostly coz weekends were long and relaxed, my dad loves to drive, and the roads were so inviting....not like our usual roads-in-between-holes kinds!
But the landscape was mostly deserted; oil hardly allows anything else to exist except for its own mighty self. Now that was a time when I had no idea that something called "Oil Economics" even exists, forget about oil production or whatever.
So when we would pass these gas fields, which had huge chimneys with fire at the end I would make up thousand different stories as to why and how they are there.

It was a beautiful sight though - bright orange flames in the midst of otherwise dark night.

My fav one was - to show the way, though y were they required on top of street light I never contemplated. Another one was ? something cooking, a feast it ought to have been. To kill the mosquitoes/insects; only I dint know that mosquitoes don't fly that high!!! And sometimes I would curse them for adding up to the heat. Its hot enuff, why do they have to burn fires anymore?
It was quite some time before I asked to discover that they were burning gases, and longer still to realize that the fire does not travel all the way up the chimney!

But those were days when imagination was free and wild and I could make up all that I wanted to. I still do, when I think of those orange flames in a dark deserted land.

Last one was a crazy week . Okai, I ve been crazily pound-foolish (penny wise never was). Shopping all on whim and giving ideas to others to shop too.(ha ha, y should I be the only one going broke.) but then Diwali is just round the corner and so is a vacation - I think I deserve to be a little festive.

Alas, my festivities last all year long. But am not really complaining - given a chance, I cld do some more!!!

My dream job would be getting paid to just surf the net, blog and read all that I want!!!!

Sometime ago I had decide, I won't reminiscence about the past, not complain about the present, nor dream about the future on my blog. Ouch! I soon ran out of things to write. So considering how extra flexible (read highly indisciplined ) I am, I ve just revoked that constraint, for a while, till I get some creative juices flowing.

Ah! And even later, this is my space, I ll rant all the same!

Breaking walls, and getting cracks in your own is fun. Teaser it may be, pampers the ego too, but then an effort is always appreciated. Acknowledged.
