Being in the driver's seat you get the best possible view. But how would the world be from the passenger's window?
Look into a situation; note the people involved, their actions and reactions. And compare. Try putting yourself there, and wonder what would you do, if u land into such a situation.
"You can't really know what I am going through."
"It's easy for u to be on the outside and preach."
"But you don't understand."
Those are the typical words, you 'll get to hear if you try and share your knowledge and insights. Everybody hates a backseat driver.
And there will be times when you will wonder, how could a person react in such a way? Why is he taking this turn, this road leads nowhere. You can actually see people inviting a crash, and wonder what could possibly propel a reasonably sane mind to do it?
I believe - if you are not selfish enough, if you are not pragmatic enough, this world will eat you up. Don't love another at the cost of hurting yourself. Don't bend to break. No point being noble and dead.
Sitting in the passenger seat you can see all those things and can but warn the driver that he is heading for a crash. But the choice to heed you, and take an action over it is entirely of the one-on-the-wheels.
The only difference between a real car and this one is, you will come out unharmed at least physically, but on the mind it will leave marks
- of loss or learning
- of hope or despair
- depending on how the tide turns and
- how you choose to perceive them
which you will carry forever.

i really liked these lines: "I believe - if you are not selfish enough, if you are not pragmatic enough, this world will eat you up. Don't love another at the cost of hurting yourself. Don't bend to break. No point being noble and dead."
