White Noise

I get to see the better movies in the middle of the week, when I and a S make a sudden plan, sneak out of our offices and meet up for movies we best enjoy watching. They are mostly offbeat, not the usual dancing-around-the-trees type.
So it was "White Noise" yesterday.

Good performance by Koel Purie, (though it took me a while to get used to the sound of her voice). But I felt Rahul Bose was underrated. He deserves better.
But more than the theatrical aspect of it, I was intrigued by the subtle psychology behind the movie. And the music is very interesting too.

The sound of silence, the serenity it brings, the opportunity to provides to sit and introspect. The wounds it heals, moreover the process - which is a more reliable one.
Let the noise outside override the noise within, and eventually forget it - is usually the easier way.

But let the silence outside, give a way to the voice in there. Hear every word, and diffuse it coz now its not useful, just baseless noise. "Equalize" it.
The sound of sea, rain, flowing river and white noise. They all signify the same thing.

Color white is made up of all the colors, so it white noise made up of all the sound frequencies.

Very honest were the references to "ghosts" and "deamons".

At one point Rahul Bose says "Winners always move forward"; to which I draw a collorally - Only those who dare to move forward eventually win.

Another nice one (which you also get to see in the promos) is - One can go through relationships with faith or with fear....
