Indian Ocean, Strings, Moksha and Parikrama. What do they all have in common??? .....let me tell u. They were all here in Blore (IIM-B) this weekend, and I was there for both the concerts.
For days I de been cribbing for the passes, not that they weren't available or something, but one had to pick them up from the campus....and lol, somebody is so lazy. More than that weekdays r the last of times when I ve time from nything except office. :(
But on the D-day, as if by divine grace, the passes came calling themselves, and I aint a fool to close the door when opportunity is knocking, so I grabbed it and had a time of my life.
The Indian Ocean and Strings Unity Concert was amazing. String have been one of my fav bands for years, and they have a breath taking stage presence. Indian Ocean's music is also wonderful, very earthly and very Indian.
Are ruk jaa re bande, are tham ja re bande......
The best though I feel was String making the crowd rock to old hindi film numbers....
main tera tu meri jaane saara hindustan.....was what they sang, and
main tera tu meri jaane saara pakistan........was what the audience echoed.
Who says music cannot transcend all barriers.
Moksha were playing lots of heavy rock, not very my kinda music....but Prikrama was again an awesome band with great stage presence. Enjoyed to the core.
In all it was quite a musical fete.
