Raincoat

When it comes to movies...am slower than the rest of the world. Slow in getting hold of it. (What did u think?)

After weeks of planning and stealing time, I finally saw Raincoat yesterday.And after a very long time, I saw a movie I cldn't sleep over. (Last such was Mr.& Mrs.Iyer)

I am not going to lodge into a fulfledger review, coz I don't deem that important. Better still read Jabberwhacky's review. I should admit that reading this added fuel to my desire of seeing the movie.

There was this beautiful bit about women being practical. Turn on the shower when you cry, and take a sleeping pill if u can't sleep. Yet why do girls cry when leaving their parents home? Ruthlessly practical and emotional fools at once.

The elaborate stories they tell each other. The face savers and the truth. One rainy afternoon and memories of a lifetime.

And then The Gift of Magi.
