THE RIVER'S EDGE

It must have been love, but it's over now.
It must have been good, but I lost it somehow....

A bottle of beer can play havoc on the senses. Only Vinay didn't know it, or knew it but was not ready to accept it. Shirley certainly didnt know the way of boozers.

"The lake's very close here." he mentioned just casually. Or was it?

And her eyes danced. This was a good opportunity she thought.

"Can we go there now?"

"Alright. But am not very sure of the directions. So we ll have to look around a little."

"No problem." Ah! she would have said yes to anything then, just to be with Vinay.
She called it "relationship building"!

So the two set out looking for the elusive lake. After tracing and retarcing many routes, they came to a point from where they could see the lake. But couldnt figure out how to get there. In case I forgot to mention it was close 10 that night when they set out.

It was a useless search. The lake was not ready to weild itself to the two.
But NOTHING can surpass human will. The next time Vinay and Shirley set out looking for the lake, they were closer, bonds stronger, Vinay was not drunk, but now both had lost their senses to the wines of love.

And no wonder they found it this time around. The lake of love.

It's better known as the lake of tears now.
What they found by the lake is lost. And I wonder what joy can stagnated water ever bring.
Like moves on, flowing, winding, menadering. Life's not stagnated.

Vinay and Shirley and all those looking for love.......next time you go around, find a river instead. It will go farther than you can ever think of.

lamhe lamhe ka intezaar, us ek lamhe ke liye.
woh lamha bhee aaya, to bas ek lamhe ke liye.
