CHEERS

The most wonderful participant of Miss World 2003 was Ms. Canada. And here am not talking of her looks or her beauty or élan, but of her achievement. Shez an Iranian by birth, who had to leave her country during the revolution. For a daughter of Iran, a country tightly under the control of fundamentalist Islam, to win such accolades for herself in the world of beauty and fashion, is a daring prospect. There must be thousands women cheering her from behind the veil in her native land. No veils for me, but I cheered loudly for her too.
Coz that is a country that has an amazing treasure in her women. Be it their beauty or charm or brains. Am saying so coz I ve known them close. They deserve to be cheered !
